Two Wilkes women say they returned home early yesterday to find the house had been broken into. Mary Jane and Annie Lippford had been out, and got back home about 3 a-m. As they approached their house, they saw a window had been removed in one of the bedrooms. On the front porch, the burglar has moved a plant and table to gain access to the window, and inside, several items in front of the window were knocked over. However, it did not appear to eaither woman that anything had been taken from the house. They were to do a more complete search after daybreak, and notify the sheriff's department if anything did turn up missing. At this time, there are no suspects.
