A Wilkes man says last weekend wasn't a good one for him, as someone stole two parts from his beloved 1965 Mustang and a metal detector from his outbuilding. William Anthony reported the theft Tuesday, saying sometime between Saturday evening and Monday evening, a person had come onto his property on Twin Hill Road, gone into the unlocked Mustang, removed the radio, and pulled the horn ring from the steering wheel.



His wife alerted him to the theft, as she walked past the car and saw the knobs off the radio laying on the ground. Both pieces were original manufacturer equipment with the Mustang logo on them. Anthony assumes it was the same person who went into his outbuilding and stole a 625-dollar metal detector. He's given deputies a name, but so far there have been no arrests.
