A rural Elkin man says several items were stolen from him by a group of people, some of whom he knows and some he doesn't . Richard Manning says one of the group of four people kept him busy while the other three stole a 5-thousand watt generator and a Stihl chainsaw. Together the two were worth about a thousand dollars. Although deputies have not released the two names they were given, they say one of the suspects, a woman, is in jail on other charges. Manning did not know the name of the other two men involved. The case remains under investigation.
