A pattern of criminal behavior and open warrants led to her arrest.  The Loss Prevention Officer at WalMart called Wilkesboro Police regarding a shoplifter that they were detaining at the store.  When Police arrived, they were told that a woman, Tressa Wandling of North Wilkesboro, was seen changing out a pair of new shoes for old ones and concealing a wallet before leaving the store without paying.  Police issued Wandling a citation for shoplifting and then checked NC AWARE.  Police determined that Wandling also had open warrants from Alexander County for Breaking and Entering and Larceny.  She was arrested on the warrants and placed in jail with a 5000 secured bond.
