The debit card was lost years ago but used recently. A North Wilkesboro man called the Wilkes Sheriff's Office this week concerning the misuse of a stolen debit card in his name.  The victim reported that his Yadkin Bank Debit Card which was lost over 2 years ago was used recently at a Family Dollar Store in Statesville. The man had also reported the loss of the card to his bank two years ago. Then last week, it was used in Statesville. It is believed the card was used in the transaction as a credit card and was used to pay for a 314 dollar purchase.  The victim reported the unauthorized use to his bank and to the Sheriff's Office.  There is no word on suspects at this time or how a card lost 2-years ago was used last week. The investigate is continuing.
