To further the Hurricane Florence recovery effort, Governor Roy Cooper has ordered the North Carolina Vital Records Office to temporarily waive its fees for North Carolinians who have been impacted by the storm and need replacement vital records. This includes replacement birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates. North Carolinians can get these replacement certificates in person at the N.C. Vital Records Office or by sending the request by mail. The mailing address for returning the request, as well as general contact information for the N.C. Vital Records Office, is available at vitalrecords.nc.gov/contacts.htm.
