The door was locked but the property is gone.  Wilkesboro Police are investigating a theft and a mystery.  A property owner on Hill Ave has reported the theft of nearly $600 in property including:  a twin size mattress, two boxes of action figures, and 3 tables.  The property was stored in the basement where the door was still locked.  It is possible someone found a spare key that was hidden.  No suspects were listed; the investigation is continuing.
