Tuesday, the Wilkes Sheriff's Office was called to a local business regarding a break-in and theft. Randy Miller Lumber Company on Hwy 18 was hit by thieves.  Stolen property totaling nearly $1700 included a Craftsman shop heater and toolboxes with tools.  A snack machine and drink machine were also hit by thieves.  There is no word on suspects.
