National Guard in Wilkes Assisting after Storm

The local National Guard continues to assist in Wilkes and surrounding counties after the huge winter snow storm.  In fact the National Guard Armory in Wilkes is currently serving as a base of operations for Guard Members who are called to respond from Boone to Statesville.  Guard Members have assisted first responders and emergency vehicles on the snow covered roads.  The National Guard has also patrolled some neighbors in search of anyone needing help.
