For the second time in a week, a local church has reported a break-in with food stolen.  The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone who had stopped in Walnut Grove Baptist Church parking lot due to car trouble.  The man noticed a side door to the church was open.  It was determined that some cookies and cakes were stolen.  No other property was reported stolen and there were no damages.  Earlier this week, over $800 in food and other property was reported stolen from Traphill Baptist Church on the Austin Traphill Road.  Those investigations are continuing.
