Wilkesboro Police are investigating a local business theft in which over $1000 in cash and property were taken.  The break-in happened during the overnight hours Sunday while the store was closed.  Management of the Pelican's Snoballs arrived Monday morning to find the break-in.  A side door and locking system were damaged.  Two cash drawers and a tip jar were emptied of cash.  A chest-type freezer was emptied of contents and then stolen.  Police are reviewing video surveillance from nearby store to determine a suspect.
