House Fire This Week

A house fire in the Mulberry Community is believed to be from an electrical short with a charger.  The homeowners were awakened Tuesday morning by a smoke alarm.  Mulberry-Fairplains Fire Dept responded and were assisted by McGrady, Millers Creek, and Mtn View. The fire was contained to one room but there was smoke and water damage throughout the house.  One homeowner suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated at Wilkes Medical Center.
