EnergyUnited says that local educators can now submit an application for Bright Ideas grants of up to $2,000 for innovative, hands-on classroom projects. Interested teachers can learn more and apply online at www.ncbrightideas.com. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Bright Ideas Education Grant program. EnergyUnited expects to award over $40,000 in Bright Ideas grants this year to teachers in our 19-county service area including Wilkes. Applications will be judged through a competitive evaluation process, with judges looking for projects that feature inventive and creative approaches to learning.
