Ronda May Change Years to Vote

Will the Town of Ronda go to even-numbered year elections?  A bill in Raleigh has passed the NC Senate and is expected to pass in the NC House.  The request to move elections to even-numbered years was originally for two towns in Buncombe County.  However, NC Senator Deanna Ballard added the Town of Ronda onto the bill.  The request by the Town is to avoid Wilkes County election fees that are only applied in odd-numbered years. If passed, the next Ronda election would be in 2020 rather than this fall.
