A teacher from Wilkes and a teacher from Alleghany were in Washington this week.  Justin Colbert of Wilkes Central High and Jody Carpenter of Alleghany High were shadowing Congresswoman Virginia Foxx this week in the Capitol.  They are getting a behind-the-scenes view of Congress and tapping into the many educational resources available in Washington.  This is the 13th year that Foxx has hosted teachers from the 5th District in DC.
