Babies Moved to New Unit at Brenner's

Thirty-six babies were moved Tuesday from the old Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to the new Dale and Karen Sisel NICU, at Brenner Children’s Hospital, part of Wake Forest Baptist Health. The new 34,000-square-foot NICU is a Level IV NICU, the highest level possible, and features 51 private rooms and around-the-clock in-hospital physician coverage with respite suites for on-call physicians, specialists and staff on the same floor as the NICU. The Birth Center opens later this month at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, with a full range of labor and delivery services.
