Apply Now for Wilkes Medical Foundation Grants

The nonprofit Wilkes Medical Center Foundation, established as a result of North Wilkesboro’s lease of the hospital to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 2017, is accepting applications for grants of up to $10,000 each.  North Wilkesboro Commissioner Junior Goforth, vice chairman of the foundation board and chairman of its grants committee, said: “This foundation is about Wilkes County citizens and making their health better. We want to provide educational and health care programs and promote wellness and healthy lifestyles in Wilkes County.”  Grant application forms are available by emailing Lori McNeil at lomcneil@wakehealth.edu. The deadline to apply is July 31.
