Possible Footbridge in Elkin

Wilkes continues to add to our Greenway and now Elkin and Jonesville are talking about adding a foot bridge over the Yadkin to their Greenway.  A meeting of the Elkin Town Board this week had Officials again talking about the foot bridge between the towns of Elkin and Jonesville.  The Jonesville Town Board discussed the bridge earlier this year.  The bridge could be a part of a Comprehensive Townwide Master Plan that was adopted by Elkin Town Officials on Monday.  The plan also includes:  infrastructure, transportation, land use, and tourism.
