Hurricanes in the eastern part of our state have caused delays in road projects in the western part of the state including Wilkes.  This week, Wilkesboro Town Manager Ken Noland received word that the Hwy 421 Superstreet project and Oakwoods Road improvement project have been delayed until 2022.  The delay comes from funds shifted by the State DOT to repair roads damaged by hurricanes Florence, Michael, and Dorian.
