Anthony Burger Passes Away

The Southern Gospel music industry is in shock today. Pianist Anthony Burger died last night after suffering an apparent heart attack. Anthony was aboard a Bill Gaither Homecoming cruise this week and it was during his stage performance of We Shall Behold Him when he suffered the heart attack. Anthony is survived by his wife LuAnn, two sons and one daughter. Burger was named Favorite Southern Gospel Pianist over 10 times during his many years with the Kingsmen Quartet. In recent years he traveled in his solo ministry, plus accompanied the Gaither Vocal Band, and sang and played on a few concerts per year with The Trio. Anthony Burger was 44.
