Fatality Wreck

A head-on collision on Boone Trail is reportedly responsible for the death of one person. Unofficial information indicates three cars were involved in the crash near Wilkes West High School last night. Two cars are reported to have collided head-on about 7 p-m, and shortly afterwards another car came around a curve and hit the wrecked vehicles before it could stop. Names and conditions of the people involved in the crash have not been officially released, and North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers have not returned a call for comment as of news time. We expect to have more official information later in the day.
