Shooting Reported in State Road

Surry County authorities are working an apparent shooting that happened this morning in State Road. The incident was reported on Logun Road, off of Highway 21. The sheriff's department says reports that it was an attempted murder-suicide are untrue, but detective division personnel were unable to release any further information. A helicopter was called to airlift at least one victim.
