Forged Check Case

A North Wilkesboro man will face forgery charges, after sheriff deputies say he passed a stolen check at a local business. David Bryan Spears is accused of writing a check for 139-dollars recently at Randy's Produce in Millers Creek. It was written on another business account, and that business reported the check stolen about the same time. He'd given the check to his daughter to take to the store and cash, because she works there. He'd also told her to use 100-dollars of the money to repay a loan to the business owner, Randy Russell. It was about two weeks after the incident happened before the crime was reported.
