Daughter Admits Stealing Parents' Debit Card from Safe

A 19-year old rural North Wilkesboro woman will face multiple charges, after admitting to her parents she stole a debit card and used it several places. Samantha Bare is to be charged with safe cracking, stealing the debit card, and obtaining property by false pretenses. Her mother. Lola Bare called deputies Tuesday morning after discovering several unauthorized transactions on her checking account statement. She says at first Samantha denied taking the card, but after being hounded repeatedly by her dad concerning the incident, admitted what had happened and gave the card back. Deputies don't say where she allegedly made purchases using her parents' debit card.
