Man Busted on DWI After Trip Through Drive Thru

Probably a good idea to have a driver's license if you're driving a car. Wilkesboro police were called to the McDonald's drive thru after an employee reported an alleged drunk driver. An officer spotted the vehicle, followed it and eventually stopped the driver and asked for his ID. The driver, John Hicks of Mountain City Tennessee said he had no license. The officer also noticed the smell of alcohol in the car and gave Hicks a sobriety test. He failed, then blew a .14 on the breathalyser. Hicks was taken to jail and charged with DWI, failure to maintain lane control and driving without a license. It had been suspended after a previous DWI.
