Benefit Golf Tournament to Help Women in Wilkes

Golfers it’s not too late to help women in Wilkes by coming to a golf tournament sponsored by the Health Department.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wilkes County Health Dept is having a Rally for the Cure Susan G. Komen Benefit Golf Tournament at Stone Mountain Golf Course in Traphill.  The benefit golf tournament is this Saturday at 1pm with lunch served at 12:30.  The cost is 50 dollars per player.  It’s 4-man’s Captain’s Choice and there are prizes for first, second, and third place.  Donna Shumate with the Health Dept says they really need more player to sign up and she explains that the funds raised will help women who cannot afford annual exams.  If you would like to participate in the Susan G.
