Felony Drug Possession Charge

One was arrested for felony possession and one was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession following a tip from Arby’s employees. Wilkesboro Police responded this week to a call from Arby’s. Employees said some suspicious activity was going on. When police arrived, they found people in the parking lot that were questioned. A restaurant employee said one of the women in the parking lot was seen inside the ladies room of Arby’s with a needle and drugs. The woman, identified as Davina Wilcox of McGrady, was questioned by police. She denied having any drugs. However, when police searched her pocketbook, they found 2 plastic containers with drugs identified at methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. The driver of the car admitted to having a glass pipe in the car and was given a citation for simple possession. Wilcox was arrested and charged with felony drug possession. She was taken to the Wilkes Women Intake Center and placed under a 7500 dollar bond.
