Damage to Vehicles

Reports of damages to vehicles continue to come in for Sheriff’s Officials to investigate.  A victim on Ridgecrest Street in Wilkesboro called the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department when she found damages to her car.  The woman explained that sometime overnight someone marked on her car with a pen.  A car owner from Hays not only had a car that wouldn’t run, he now has a car that was broken into.  The victim told Sheriff’s Deputies that he left his vehicle parked alsong Cane Creek Road after it broke down.  When he returned to the car the next morning, he saw that someone had damaged a passenger side door so they could get inside the vehicle.  Nothing was reported stolen.  An estimate of damages was not given with either report, and both are currently being investigated by the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department.
