Kicking in the Doors

The Wilkes Sheriff's Office is investigating break-ins at two locations in which thieves came in the same way.  A North Wilkesboro called on Sunday to report a break-in while they were at church.  Victims returned home to find the basement door kicked in and the kitchen door damaged.  Once inside, the thief only took some loose change that was in the bedroom of the home.  Nothing else was reported stolen and damages were estimated at 500 dollars.  Then a Roaring River property owner reported the break-in of an vacant residence. It appears someone kicked open the backdoor causing 50 dollars in damages but nothing was reported stolen from this unoccupied house.  No suspects were listed with either report.
