BROC Head Start Taking Applications Now

Wilkes Head Start Center Is Taking Applications for 3 & 4 Year Old Children for 2012-2013.  The BROC Head Start Program, a preschool child development educational program is accepting applications for children 3 and 4 years of age for the current school year. Children are being recruited for the Cub Creek, Lomax, and North Wilkesboro Head Start Centers and for the Home-Base program, all located in Wilkes County.  Head Start serves income eligible families; A limited number of over-income families can be served if their children have disabilities or special needs; Proof of income and proof of child’s age (birth certificate) must be shown when applying for Head Start; and All Head Start sites are licensed Child Care Centers with 5 Star Ratings.  To get information on eligibility or to make an appointment to apply:  (For the Cub Creek Center-contact Teresa Smathers at 667-0482 or Laura Parker at 903-2011;  For the Lomax Center-contact Tammy Burke at 957-8912;  For the North Wilkesboro Center-contact Donna Watts at 651-7698; and For the Home-Base program-contact Amber Sparks Anthony at 957-8912 or 927-7443.)
