Arrested for One But Charged in Many

He was caught for one thing but then charged for several other crimes. Last week, the Wilkes Sheriff's Office received a report of a break-in at the Oakwoods Country Club. Four hundred dollars in cash was stolen, but the thief caused 1400 dollars in damages to a door, door frame, and outdoor fencing. The theft occurred during the overnight hours. Evidence and an investigation led Sheriff's Deputies to arrest Tony Minton of Wilkesboro for that break-in. It was then determined that he was wanted for crimes also in Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro. Minton was charged by the Sheriff's Dept, Wilkesboro PD, and North Wilkesboro PD. Charges included breaking and entering, larceny, safe cracking, and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Wilkes County Jail and his bond set at 65,000 dollars.
