Thousands in Damages

There was no theft, but thousands of dollars in damages.  The Wilkes Sheriff's Office was called to investigate some property damage at a residence on High Rock Road in Boomer.  The victim stated that someone had tried to enter his vehicle.  The would-be thief used a pry tool on the door of the car which caused 3000 dollars in damages to the vehicle.  No property was reported stolen.
