Early Voting Begins Today
In-person early voting for the 2018 general election begins in North Carolina. Statewide, more than 300 early voting sites will offer approximately 50,000 combined hours of voting through Saturday, November 3. Election Day is November 6. In Wilkes, One-stop, early voting locations are: Ground Floor of the Wilkes County Office Building at 110 North Street in Wilkesboro; Millers Creek Fire Dept, Boone Trail in Millers Creek, and; Pleasant Hill Fire Dept, Austin-Traphill Road in Pleasant Hill. Early Voting hours are 7 am to 7 pm weekdays through Nov. 2; 8 am to 1 pm Saturday, Nov. 3. Early voting offers “same-day registration,” with proof of address. Wilkes County residents can register to vote when voting at any of one-stop, early voting sites.
