NC Rep Honoring Fallen NC Officer

U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) remembered the life and service of Jared William Franks, 24, a fallen officer of the Greensboro Police Department.  "Officer Franks dedicated his life to public service and creating a safer community for us all," Walker said in a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday. Franks was the first Greensboro officer to die in the line of duty in 17 years. Police Officer Jared Franks was killed in a vehicle crash on November 10 while responding to a robbery in progress. Officer Franks had served with the Greensboro Police Department for 2-1/2 years.
