Assault Investigation

The Wilkes Sheriff's Office was called to Wake Forest Baptist / Wilkes Medical Center regarding an assault.  A man who had come to the medical center treatment reported that he was attacked outside his home, beaten with a ball bat, and his wallet was stolen.  Some names of possible suspects were given to Sheriff's Deputies.  That investigation is still underway.
