NC Dept of Health and the Flu

According to the NC Dept of Health, Influenza activity is rising in North Carolina as we move closer to the peak of the 2018-19 flu season. Although vaccination early in the season is preferred, it is never too late to get vaccinated and help protect yourself and others from the spread of this dangerous, sometimes deadly virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends vaccination against the flu for everyone 6 months and older.  For more information on flu prevention and the flu vaccine, contact the Wilkes Dept of Health.
