Wilkesboro Resident Victim of ID Theft

A Wilkesboro resident is a victim of ID theft and financial fraud.  The Wilkes Sheriff's Office received the report this week.  Apparently, someone has used the victim's personal information to purchase a Sprint phone plan.  The victim has not done business with Sprint and was unaware of the theft until they received a bill from Sprint for $1000.  There is no word on suspects at this time.
