Fatal Plane Crash

The former owner of the Wilkesboro Dragway, Danny Dunn, died yesterday following a plane crash. Dunn had taken off from the airstrip at his home in Deep Gap Wednesday morning. Neighbors reported the plane engine sounded odd and the plane went down shortly after getting airborne. Dunn was severely burned and was airlifted to Baptist where he died from his injuries. He was the only one in the plane. The FAA is investigating the crash.
