Deputy Involved Shooting: Man Died

As 3WC News reported over the weekend, there was a Deputy involved shooting on Friday. Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Lee Edward Kilby when he ran to a garage. When he pointed a gun at a Deputy, Edwards was shot. He was airlifted to Baptist and was reported to be in stable condition. According to information from the Wilkes Sheriff's Office this morning, Lee Edward Kilby died Monday evening at approximately 9:57pm.  The investigation is ongoing.
