Theft from Vehicle

Wilkes Sheriff's Deputies were called to investigate a theft near Elkin.  A vehicle in the Carter Falls parking lot was forcibly entered. Someone broke out a window and stole a pocketbook containing her ID and bank cards. The victim has been notified by her bank of a purchase at the Walmart in Elkin of $500 with the stolen card. The investigation is ongoing.
