Attempted Break-In

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Office was called to a State Road residence last week regarding an attempted break-in. The deputy found damage to the door of the residence; however, entry was not gained inside the house. No property was reported stolen. Damages to the door are estimated at $100. The deputy gathered evidence at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
