Changes For Wilkes Fatal Wreck

One man is facing charges after a fatal wreck last week on New Year’s Day according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. A Toyota pickup crossed the centerline on Traphill Road and hit a Ford pickup. The Toyota overturned and a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. That passenger, 33-year-old India Richardson, died at the scene. The driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Toyota driver, 36-year-old Randall Mash, was charged with multiple offenses including misdemeanor death by vehicle.
