NC FACT

The North Carolina Department of Health announced a new program to help people with severe mental illness released from detention.  NC Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Teams (NC FACT) will deploy across the state to provide individualized assistance to people released from jail or prison including mental health care, housing support, vocational/educational support, substance use disorder care, and day-to-day living support. The goal is to reduce the likelihood the recipients will return to prison and create safer communities.
