Break-in Nets Someone over $5,000

Wilkes sheriff deputies have no identified suspects in the break-in that occurred late Sunday or yesterday at the home of a retired Ronda woman. Judy Jolly tells deputies she left Sunday afternoon to go out of town, and left her front door unlocked so her son could use the computer. When she came home she found the door locked, which to her was a bit odd. When she got inside she realized someone had taken several valuables from the house, but left a number of other valuable items behind. The stolen items include two necklaces worth 350-dollars together, several other jewelry items worth a total of 300-dollars, a DVD player and coins, together worth 255-dollars, and nine collector's edition Barbie dolls still in their boxes, worth an estimated 500-dollars each. Total value of the stolen items is over 53-hundred dollars. The case remains under investigation
