Warrant for Arrest Issued for Shoplifter

A warrant for arrest has been issued after a man was discovered shoplifting at Lowes.  Over the weekend, Loss Prevention at Lowes Hardware on Hwy 421 called Wilkesboro Police regarding a shoplifter.  A white male was observed inside Lowes taking an electric drill and a ratchet set and concealing them in his coat.  When store employees tried to confront the man, he ran from the scene.  Police viewed video surveillance and were able to identify the man who stole the tools.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest and charges are pending for larceny.  The stolen tools were valued at 300 dollars.
