Multiple Thefts

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a few theft reports from around the county.  A property owner on the Jim McCarter Road reported the theft of a lawn tractor.  The Husqvarna lawn tractor valued at 3000 dollars was parked in the victim’s yard at the time of the theft.  Then a property owner on Old Hwy 21 called the Sheriff’s Office regarding a theft from his outbuilding and some damage to property.  The victim said a shovel, a rake, a bow, and a wench were all stolen from the building.  The same victim also stated that some windows were broken out of his house, but nothing else was reported stolen.  Again, no suspects were given with either incident, but the Sheriff’s Department is still investigating.
