Take the Cake and Run

Someone ordered the birthday cake, and then someone else stole it. Wilkesboro Police were called to the Lowes on Winkler Street. The store manager reported that a white male came in the store to pick up a birthday cake. The store had the name and contact number of the woman who ordered the cake. This week, the white male came in, got the cake, asked the clerk for candles, and then left the store without paying. A store employee followed the man into the parking lot. The man left in a white Ford Crown Victoria, and according to the report, almost hit a store employee in the parking lot as he left. Police used video surveillance to identify the man that was later arrested by another law enforcement agency.
