Wilkes Students Wins 5th District Art Contest

Congratulations to a local student for a big win in art. Jessika Norman from Wilkes Early College High School won the North Carolina's 5th District Congressional Art Competition hosted by Virginia Foxx. Runners-up are from Walkertown High School. Each spring the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide visual art competition for amateur high school-aged artists. Each year members of Congress hold contests within their districts to recognize local high school artists.  This year, Jessika won for the 5th District.  Her winning artwork can be viewed on the Wilkes County Schools' Facebook page.
