Becoming US Citizens in NC

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) held a naturalization ceremony at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park to celebrate Memorial Day and to recognize the National Park Service 100th anniversary.  The 50 candidates are from more than 20 nations.  Because it is an important American holiday, Memorial Day is included in the naturalization test. To qualify for naturalization, a candidate must have been a legal permanent resident and/or meet other qualifications. During the last decade, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) welcomed more than 6.6 million naturalized citizens
