Don't Swerve

More wrecks involving deer including one in Wilkesboro this week on Hwy 421 at Hwy 16 reminds us that deer in the highway is a real problem this time of year.  In the early Wednesday morning wreck on Hwy 421, the driver of the car stated that a deer ran out in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it.  According to the highway patrol, it is better to hit the deer than to swerve to avoid it.  Trooper Lane McNeill of the NC Highway Patrol explains that when drivers swerve they lose control of their vehicle and can get hurt or even killed in a wreck.
